"Idéalement situé, facile d'accès (malgré un 5e étage, peu confortable pour une valise de 23 kilos), propre, bien aménagé, pratique et avec une literie irréprochable, c'est fort agréable ! En plus le quartier est sympa et le centre de Paris à quelques pas et le métro proche, un sans-faute !"

"Great location - 20 mins walk from Gare Du Nord station, very close to the Metro and 30 min walk to the Seine. Lots of supermarkets, restaurants and bars on the same block. Opposite a famous historical and cheap restaurant called 'Boullion Julien' (book in advance for that). The bed was comfortable and we liked having a view onto the street for sitting at the table having breakfast. It was good having a coffee machine and other kitchen basics. The shower was decent. Check in was easy with a code/lock box for the key. One recommendation we have for visiting Paris is to do a lunch river boat cruise with 'Le Calife'. The best experience we had and really great value for money. You can't buy alcohol from shops in that area after 5pm so if you want an evening drink in the apartment make sure to buy it before then."

"The windows aren't double glazed so when there's noise outisde it's very audible in the apartment. It's on a busy cross roads / junction and because there are so many shops there's a lot of noise with deliveries etc in the morning. Whilst we were there vehicles often blocked the road which led to a lot of car horn honking. If you're getting up early this shouldn't be much of a problem. The windows have venetian blinds which let a lot of light in after sunrise. We had sleep eye masks and ear plugs which helped with both issues (recommended if you want to sleep in). The next apartment is very close and the walls are thin so you can hear most sounds in there quite clearly (talking, moving around etc), so it's down to luck who is staying there and if they are noisy. We were there Sunday to Thursday and it was mostly fine. It could be louder on weekends in general with partying outside and if people party next door or come back drunk. It's a small apartment which is fine, it's just tight moving around the bed and in the bathroom. In general it was clean but the shower looked a bit dirty. Worth being aware you'll have to climb 5 flights of stairs to get to the apartment, which is tiring but we thought it was worth it to be high up and further from the noise of the street."

"The apartment was neat, clean and comfortable (but definitely cosy) with a cute little view of the neighbourhood and good facilities. The bed was comfortable and the washing machine was a welcome benefit. There are great restaurants and bars nearby - recommend La Sifflotte on the corner, Tanguy for authentic galettes, and yes it is close to the ever-popular Bouillon Julien if that's your thing (you'll be able to see the line from the apartment every evening). There are also fromageries and coffee roasters all up rue du Faubourg Saint-Denis, with many other great places nearby. Very easy access to the metro and train hubs such as Gare du Nord and Gare de l'Est."

"The apartment is definitely cosy. Great for one person but it might be a bit tight for two. I would like single female travellers to be aware that SOME streets/parts of this area can become a little lecherous in the evenings before the bars and restaurants start filling up with people eating out for the evening. The vibe changes and it's easier to move around more safely once dining establishments open, but if you're not sure or an unseasoned traveller it may be a little unsettling. If you avoid travelling up under the Port Saint-Denis and use rue de Mazagran you'll be fine (this is the best way to get to the Bonne Nouvelle metro entrance for ligne 8/9 anyway). BUT for someone who is a little more comfortable and seasoned, this is an excellent area."

"Common to have narrow stairs; true studio with little room to move around the bed. Blinds were broken but would move mostly how I needed them. No storage shelf in shower so had to put toiletries on the floor."
